How it all Started...
My name is Lana Sjoberg, aka Lana Banana or The Hat Lady. I was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Minnesota and went to the University of Minnesota for Costume Design.
When my sons were two and five years old, I began making hats for them after my darling nephew, Jon, ( I have to say the because he has always liked this story), asked me to make a pattern for him since he was learning to sew.
And the rest is history! My trademark is the applied fabric scraps and pieces on my original designs. There are so many wonderful hat stories to tell, so perhaps you'll want to read some of these stories.... your stories, on the Blog page.
